Definition of Epoxy:

A chemical is one of the hard-soluble plastics with two components: Resin & Hardener.
It is highly adhesive and resistant to friction. It is used as a coating, mortar or adhesive and forms an insulating layer when dry.

Advantages of Epoxy:

1- The adhesion strength is great in any concrete, metal or wooden surface.
2- Lack of water or liquids due to its ability to close the pores is used as a good insulation for tanks and swimming pools.
3 - High resistance to acids, chemicals and alkalis (refer to the technical publication of the resistance of epoxy to various chemicals).
4 - Very high hardness, the strain in the mortar to four times the stress of concrete.
5- High resistance to corrosion and erosion in the floors and walls.
6- High resistance to temperature difference from -30 ° C to +100 ° C. Dry heat, up to +80 ° C. Moisture temperature. For short periods, it is higher than 30%.
7- Gives Special attractive luster from all paints and it is used as an alternative to ceramic.

Uses of Epoxy:

1- It is widely used as waterproofing paint in tanks and Sewage wells.

2 - Epoxy is used in the restoration and injection.

3- Used as a bonding material between two separate parts.

4- Used as a coating for the floors of factories, garages and hospitals.

Epoxy implementation steps:

First: Preparation
1 - add the hardener to the effective material.

2 - Flip the two materials well vertically and sideways for three minutes and it is preferable to use a conductor with a stirrer.

3 - Emptying the epoxy after flipping in a plastic basin for easy flipping.

4. Painting the first face (Primer), and the amount of epoxy used is lessen by 10% to 20% with Euxit 501, added during flipping, not after, then the final face is painted without dilution after 24 hours of dryness the first face.

Tools used for paint:

Roller, brush or pressure spray machine.

Second: Implementation precautions
1. Determine whether the floor is painted
2. Look for oil or grease stains
3. Search for rubber residue from tire scuffing

4. Testing the random areas of other undiscovered coatings
5. If paint is present, it should be removed
6. Clean the surface well
7. Wash the surface well from any acids or chemicals
8. Leave the surface to complete the drying
9. Select the product you will use to cover the floor
10. Calculate the quantity of materials required
11. Preparation of epoxy and addition of hardener

12. Paint by the roll as quickly as possible before hardening
13. Paint in specific directions
14. Leave the epoxy to dry then paint the final face carefully

Technical precautions before epoxy paint:

1- The walls or floors must be free of dust and impurities.
2- Treatment of cracks by epoxy paste.
3 - Rubbing the walls well after the putty.
4- Epoxy lessens by 20% - 30% when using the machine.
5 - Not to leave epoxy pistols in the sun or a place with high temperature so as not to occur ebullition in the material when flipping.
6 - in the case of painting drinking water tanks or swimming pools and leave 4 days after the paint and before filling with water to complete the setting of epoxy.

Work safety precautions:

1 - Wear glasses, protective rubber gloves, gags and special shoes during work.

2 - Avoid touching with the skin or eyes, hands should be washed well or any part of the body exposed to epoxy material by tanner then water.

3 - Non-smoking during work.

4 - The tools used in tanner should be washed well.

5 - Ventilation places well when working.

Consumption rate:

Depending on the absorbing of the surface to be painted, which is in range of 400 gm for the flat meter for the first face, and 300 gm for the second face on the buildings and the brick and concrete, and within 250 gm for the first face, 150 gm for the second face on the iron and wood.

Instructions for use of EUXIT

Epoxy Resien

Mixing  instruction

The EUXIT -resin products are supplied in correct mixing ratio. The hardener must be poured in the basic component .Care must be taken so that the hardener is completely emptied from its container .

Mixing the two components is best efficient with a mechanical stirrer with a max.of 300 r.p.m.

(a slowly revolving drilling or boring machine fitted with a whirl).Mix thoroughly ! stir thoroughly at the sides and base so that the hardener is uniformly distributed in the vertical and horizontal planes. It must be stirred until the mixture is homogeneo and it free of streaks. The temperature of both components should be 15-20oC when mixing together. They should be mixed in the drums supplied .After , mixing decant into a shallower drum and again very carefully stir for about I minute. If temperature is higher than 20oC pot life is shortened .

In three component product mix , under stir componen III (sand) into the resin/hardener mixture to the desired consistency . After mixing it is necessary not to stir the mixture for a short time so that the air can move out of the mixture .After this procedure is done we recommend to stir the mixture by hand before using the Euxit resin products .

Physiological reactions and precautions:

After proper hardening EUXIT-resin products are physiologically harmless The hardener (component) is caustic . Therefore it is absolutely essential that the skin does not come into contact with the hardener. It is recommended that rubber gloves be worn whilst working .Skin contamination should be immediately cleaned with soap and plenty of water , better still with an addition of 2% household vinegar .If splashed into the eyes, they should immediately be washed with plenty of water .By means of an eyebath with boric acid,(obtainable from chemists and pharmacies) rinse out, and then report immediately to an eye specialist .At all times, local statutory safety  regulations with regard to working with such products should be strictly observed .

Important

Organic solvents containing EUXIT-resin products also EUXIT 500 cleaner and EUXIT 501 thinner are flammable .These products should be kept away from open flames. When working in doors, adequate ventilation must be provided .
